In 2022, members of the Bulgarian Chamber of Cinematographers (BCC) organized two specialized training programs, titled Film Forge, in collaboration with Nu Boyana Film Studios.
These courses aimed to provide a comprehensive understanding of the fundamentals of the filming process and set etiquette for industry professionals working in the camera department.
The training was structured around a combination of theoretical preparation and practical exercises, allowing participants to apply their knowledge to real-world scenarios.
During the training, participants were introduced to various aspects of the filming process, including production planning, equipment selection, and teamwork. They also received valuable information about on-set etiquette, crucial for maintaining a positive and productive work environment on set.
One of the key components of the training academy was the practical application of these concepts. Participants worked together to create a simulated real filming day, enabling them to apply their theoretical knowledge to real-world scenarios. This hands-on training provided participants with the opportunity to develop their technical skills, improve their communication abilities, and gain confidence in their roles within the film crew.
Through its partnership with Nu Boyana Film Studios, the BCC succeeded in creating a program that not only equips union members with current skills and experience but also opens doors to potential job opportunities at the popular film studio.
In conclusion, the collaborative project between Film Forge and Nu Boyana Film Studios in 2022 successfully provided a comprehensive educational program for camera department professionals. Through a combination of theoretical training and practical exercises, participants enhanced their skills and knowledge, preparing them for successful careers in the ever-evolving world of cinema.
